Star Bright Electric Takes Home "Most Fa-Boo-Lous" at Streetsboro Trunk or Treat

There are a lot of ways to spend an October evening, but few beat handing out candy to a few thousand trick-or-treaters from the back of a van wrapped in kraken tentacles.

In October 2025, the Star Bright Electric team joined Streetsboro Parks & Recreation's annual Trunk or Treat at Streetsboro City Park, taking our place among more than 55 participating businesses and organizations. The event drew a crowd well over 3,000 strong, filling the park with ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and a whole lot of very patient parents.

Our "Dead Sea" Came to Life

This year, our crew went all in on a "Dead Sea" theme. Our service van was transformed into a sunken shipwreck, complete with giant tentacles reaching across the pavement, a skeleton crew tangled in fishing nets, glowing jellyfish, starfish, drifting fog, and a haunted reef built from the ocean floor up. It took a lot of planning, a few late nights, and more zip ties than we'd care to admit, but watching kids stop in their tracks when they rounded the corner made every minute worth it.

And apparently the judges agreed. At the end of the night, Star Bright Electric was awarded the "Most Fa-Boo-Lous" award, one of only three awards handed out across the entire event. We couldn't be prouder of our team, or more grateful to everyone who stopped by for candy and a closer look.

Why We Show Up

Star Bright Electric has been lighting the way in Northeast Ohio since 1999, and we've never seen ourselves as just an electrical contractor. We live here. Our families shop at the same stores, cheer at the same games, and trick-or-treat on the same streets as the customers we serve every day across Ravenna, Streetsboro, Kent, and the rest of Portage County.

Community events like Trunk or Treat are one of our favorite ways to give back. They let us meet our neighbors as neighbors, not just as a name on an invoice, and they give kids a safe, free night of fun right in the middle of town. A special thank-you to Streetsboro Parks & Recreation for organizing such a fantastic event year after year, and for making room for local businesses to be part of it.
